Blessed Reformation Day!

Today we celebrate Martin Luther’s nailing of his ninety-five theses to a church door in Wittenberg, setting in-motion the Protestant Reformation.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Eph 2:8-9

hey alisa,
i don't know if you remember me but we chatted long ago when you were just about to get micah home. i somehow lost your blog address and so i haven't been able to keep up with you guys in ages. but i ran across it again as a link on another blog, and i thought i would come take a peek. first of all, congratulations on the newest little guy you're adopting! amazing!! secondly, i teared up a little bit when i saw your boys' names...our little one passed away from pneumonia before we could get to ethiopia to bring him home. that happened on august 13...his name was judah. after a long period of grieving (and asking our agency to take us off the waiting list for a bit), we now have another referral for a baby boy (who was born on judah's exact birthday), and guess what his name is?? that's right...micah! :-) have a wonderful night, friend.
